The music industry has destroyed an enormous amount of revenue because the major labels refused to take the Internet seriously, said [RealNetworks CEO Rob] Glaser, [at a conference in Berlin]….Now it is at last taking the Internet seriously, but at a cost to itself, he added.
Glaser said his firm had signed a deal with the BBC to offer its services. But not in the UK, which is where the BBC is based, because of what Glaser called charter issues. [Not sure if this is new…it already has an agreement…]
