SportsLine Changes Deal With AOL Time Warner

SportsLine.com will no longer be promoted by AOL Time Warner and the media conglomerate will refund 1.7 million SportsLine shares as part of the deal’s termination. It would also be relieved of a $1 million cash and stock obligation to AOL.

SportsLine will continue to provide programming and fantasy sports products to AOL Sports Channel for as long as 13 months. The two companies first began working together in July 1997.

The changes, according to the company, will allow SportsLine to “redirect its marketing efforts in light of the Company’s increased focus on promoting its subscription products”.. Spin the wheel, will ya?
