Both the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers are preparing new e-commerce elements to their sites, just as NFL rolls out additional subscription services this season at NFL.com.
Raiders.com generates about $2 million in revenue between ad sales, e-commerce and trading for services with suppliers. The 49ers said revenue from their site is in the seven-figure range, declining to be more specific. At 49ers.com, revenue increased 50 percent over last year, and sales could double by the end of this season, said Peter Harris, 49ers CEO.
Raiders will unveil their “Sideline Pass” service in the next few weeks. For $6 a month, visitors to Raiders.com will get access to a variety of streaming video from games and additional photos.
