Rivals Unite For Mobile Football

Well, the first real controversy in the mobile content arena: Bitter UK telecom rivals Vodafone and 3 have teamed up to win the race for the rights to show highlights of Premier League games on mobile phones….Under the deal both companies will be able to show highlights of all 380 matches immediately following the final whistle, as well as archive footage, news round-ups and “as live” picture updates every time a goal is scored.

The Premier League, Vodafone and 3 all refused to comment on the value of the deal but it is not believed to match the £30m 3 paid last time round.
