A group of indigenous journalists has launched Mexico’s first Indian newspaper on the Internet, called “Xiranhua.com” as part of an effort to forge unity among the country’s 60 native ethnicities…So far, the site has enabled the Indians of Puebla and Michoacan to agree to exchange coffee for corn.
Financing, however, continues to be the Achilles heel for the journalists who invested all their resources in designing and launching the Web page, but are now seeking financial assistance from friends, businesses and public organizations in order to continue the project…contact the editor-in-chief Pedro Victoriano Cruz, for any offers.
