Net Video Subscriptions To Go Mass

Coincidence, but along with OPA’s report today (see below), another report released today by In-Stat/MDR says that digital video subscriptions this year will bring in about $991 million in revenues. That figure will go up to more than $4.5 billion during 2007. The firm expects that Asia will be the largest market in 2007, at about $1.2 billion and also predicts that solid growth will occur in Europe.

According to In-Stat, four categories will grow in broadband video sector: sports, movie/TV, general portal sites, and video communication services.
