MLB.com Cuts Webcasting Prices

(sub. req) In an attempt to get more users, Major League Baseball, which has Webcast more than 1,000 games this season for $2.95 a day through a partnership with RealNetworks, has cut the price to 99 cents a day for the rest of the season, which ends Sept. 28. It is also offering free access to Webcasts in September to fans who sign up for a trial subscription to Sports Illustrated.
