KeepMedia Expands Into ASP Service, Signs on Esquire

This was to be expected: KeepMedia, the online magazine archives retailer, has expanded into an ASP service, and has signed on Esquire magazine as its first client…Esquire has re-launched its site to commemorate its 70th anniversary, and has also launched a premium version, called, um, Esquire Premium, which uses KeepMedia’s platform. Esquire, in turn, promotes KeepMedia’s service. Yes, KeepMedia adjusts the revenue splits for such deals, compared to the magazines which are already on KM’s consumer service.

This is similar in effort to RealNetwork’s RealOne OpenPass…the thinking being if you have already build an infrastructure for your own consumer service, why not market that platform to other media companies. Of course, this puts KeepMedia in direct competition to the other content commerce vendors out there.
