ePocket, a yet-to-be-launched micropayments company in Canada, has received an equity investment from software and mobile gaming company ActiveCore. ActiveCore, also a Canadian company, will acquire five percent of ePocket for CDN $300,000. ePocket hopes to sell its technology into the mobile and online gaming market.
ActiveCore’s mobile games group, SilverBirch Studios, develops games for the rapidly growing cell phone and mobile device market.
