Red Herring Slated For Relaunch By a French Company

Red Herring, once dubbed by WSJ as the “bible of the Valley”, is slated for a re-launch, at least online, paidContent.org has learned. The rights to the brand name were bought recently by Dasar, a French tech-media company. Dasar initially signed on Richard Brandt, the ex Editor-in-Chief of the now defunct Upside magazine, but he left due to differences. It is expected that Jim Daly, the former editor of Business 2.0 (and the only tech editor from the Valley who completely dropped off the radar after the bust), will now take his place.
