Sports fans are adopting broadband, and are paying extra to follow teams: “Between 150,000 and 170,000 people subscribe for MLB’s online radio broadcasts. Nearly 100,000 people are paying $14.95 per month or $39.95 per season to watch live or archived games streamed over the Internet, and another 4 million people can access the games through subscription services offered by MLB.com partners, RealNetworks, and America Online.”
