SeaPoint Ventures, a telecom/wireless heavy VC firm, has made investments in four new wireless startups: CapBack of Seattle, Kineto Wireless of Milpitas, CA, Vayusa of Boston and PocketThis of London.
The total investment is about $4 million.
Among the most intertsing: PocketThis, which just moved its headquarters from Oakland, Calif., to London, makes software that enables wireless subscribers to download and recall important data from the Internet to their handsets. For example, a subscriber that is car shopping can save himself the trouble of trying to remember a good deal he found on the Web by downloading and storing it on his mobile phone.
PocketThis also has funding from Mobius Venture Capital and Orange Ventures, the venture capital arm of French wireless operator Orange SA.
