Fame Academy Music Downloads Go On Sale

Fame Academy, UK’s fame show (yeah, that’s a lame description, I know), will sell contestants’ tracks costing viewers 99p each…these are available to download from a range of online music retailers – Dotmusic, Freeserve, HMV, MSN and MTV.

The blatantly commercial move, which will line the pockets of producers Endemol and record giant Polydor, will reignite the row over the commercial exploitation of BBC programmes.
