RealNetworks and Microsoft are touting their technology and content to cable companies, in an attempt to persuade them to use and carry the content…this in a report from the annual Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing meeting. Rob Glaser, speaking at the conference, emphasized that cable companies–which make much of their money selling high-speed Internet connections–could profit by promoting [Real’s content such as RealOne Arcade, Nascar.com content etc] services and sharing revenues with RealNetworks while it handles the billing.
