The Nerve.com online dating spinoff, Spring Street Networks, has received $6 million in first round venture funding from Battery Ventures. The funding “will be used to support product development, business development and marketing initiatives,”, according to the company. Dave Tabors, general partner at Battery Ventures, has joined the company’s board of directors.
Spring Street currently powers more than 200 partner personals sites including such as Boston.com, Cox Newspapers, selected Real Cities affiliates, New York Magazine, SF Gate, and Village Voice Media, among others.
