Wow, I was rubbing my eyes in, well, disbelief: Gallup, which launched a subscription e-mail newsletter service in January (converting from an earlier free one), has 34,000 paying subscribers, according to this NYT story, down from 40,000 free subscribers..that’s in about seven months of launching the service, and pricing it at $95 a year.
Assuming that its niche base has increased considerably over this year, still, that conversion is very very high…
