Operating income was $16.1 million, up 6.1 percent from last year, driven by improved performance at Consumer Electronic Publishing and Indexes/Ventures.
Paid subscribers to WSJ.com totaled 671,000 as of June 30, 2003, up 3.9 percent over June 30, 2002.
