This was bound to come up sooner or later: the head-to-head between Google’s cache and subscription/registration sites such as NYTimes.com.
“We are working with Google…we’re going to close it so when you click on a link it will take you to a registration page,” said Christine Mohan, a spokeswoman for NYTimes.com.
I doubt it will become a big issue, as simple, technological solutions exists for publishers to opt out of Google/search engine caching…even Google offers that option.
