Building a Better Napster

Interesting point about Napster continuing validity (or the lack of it): “If initial exposure to an online brand meant something, we’d all be buying books on www.books.com, getting news headlines via PointCast, and browsing the Web with Netscape Navigator…If the new Napster turns out to be nothing but a music store, even if it works as well as or better than the iTunes, the attempt to rebrand a viral community service as e-commerce is likely to fail.”
