Microsoft is expected to unveil today an upgraded version of its Pocket PC software, called Windows Mobile 2003…the new software has content from CBS MarketWatch, Comedy Central and other providers. The content, which is free now, could eventually be part of a Microsoft subscription package, however.
The advancing technology will create new subscription opportunities for Microsoft and other companies such as RealNetworks, which has its media player in Palm devices and Nokia cellphones.
