Dictionary.com has launched a premium service, “featuring enhanced multimedia, brand-name reference books and exclusive content not available anywhere else,” or at least that’s what they claim.
The service has ad-free access to the online dictionary and thesaurus; audio
pronunciations; color illustrations; and dictionaries of law, medicine and new
words. Subscribers also have access to new daily word games, puzzle archives
and a crossword dictionary.
Price: introductory pricing offer of $1.95 per month or $12.95 per year for an additional 30 days. Afterward, the standard pricing will be $2.95 per month or $19.95 per year.
