Ziff Davis’ Revenues Down, In EBITDA Profit


Ziff Davis has posted lower revenues for Q1 of 42.1 million, compared to $54.1 million in the year-ago quarter, but as posted an EBITDA of $1.6 million, compared to $5.7 million of consolidated EBITDA losses for the prior year period.

“Revenue for the developing businesses segment[–which includes its nine Internet sites–] for the first quarter ended March 31, 2003, was $6.0 million, compared to $3.2 million in the same period last year, reflecting a $2.8 million or 87.5% improvement. The increase primarily relates to growing advertising revenue for both of the new magazines and the Company’s Internet operations as all of these properties have gained increasing advertiser acceptance by their customers.”
