Sorrent, a creator and publisher of games for wireless devices, has raised $5.5 million in its second round of funding. Globespan Capital Partners led the round and was joined by existing Sorrent investors, New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Sienna Ventures.
Sorrent, which has already licensed global entertainment brands, including FOXSports.com, The X-Files and Chinese basketball star Yao Ming, will use the funds to extend its portfolio of popular entertainment brands.
