GoComics, Uclick’s and PaletSoft’s venture, has signed deals with U.S. wireless phone companies and is in discussions with companies in other parts of the world. Sprint PCS will begin offering it to its Vision service customers. Sprint will sell a 90-day license for $4. Last week, Verizon Wireless, Sprint’s larger competitor, launched the GoComics service. Verizon’s service is limited to “Garfield” and costs $2.35 a month.
