XM Promotes PC Radio Against Net Radio

Perhaps the most interesting development in the radio industry for a long time: XM Satellite Radio has introduced a product to deliver their programming to the PC. The product, called the XM PCR, is an XM receiver that delivers audio to — and is controlled by — a PC. And XM is claiming that since the system doesn’t rely on an Internet connection, it’s performance is superior to Internet radio. Cost: $69.95 for the device and 100 channels of digital radio for $9.99 per month.
