Yahoo Japan has inked a deal with Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers, that will allow it to distribute music on the Internet free of charge. At present, royalties must be paid each time a song is distributed to a user, while under this deal, the royalites will be paid directly to the association.
