In a move which further cements MarketWatch’s licensing revenues (it gets almost 50 percent of its revenues from licensing), it has inked a distribution deal to supply Knight Ridder/Tribune Information Services (KRT) with a selection of columns and breaking news stories to be offered for publication in more than 300 newspapers that are served by the KRT news service.
The deal marks the first time that news from MarketWatch.com’s flagship Website, CBS MarketWatch, would be syndicated to newspapers nationwide. To date, CBS MarketWatch stories have appeared in print in selected newspapers including The Financial Times and the San Francisco Examiner.
