The peer-to-peer music piracy battlefield is moving to the UK in the next few months as P2P network Grokster puts together plans to set up operations in London in a bid to win more international customers. CEO Wayne Russo sees the UK as the perfect ‘launchpad’ for upping its customer numbers internationally. As part of Grokster’s strategy, he intends to launch a UK-only deal which will involve a international artist and, along with other initiatives, will be aimed at raising Grokster’s profile outside the US. ‘It’s going to cause quite a stir,’ he claimed.
