Yahoo Set to Launch Paid Multi-Media Service

Yahoo is expected to roll out its subscription audio and video service on Monday. Called Yahoo Platinum, which will include clips of news, entertainment and sports content, will cost $9.95 per month, with price on par with rival RealNetworks’ RealOne service. The service is expected to include video and audio from the tournament produced by (SPLN: news, chart, profile), along with content produced by AOL Time Warner’s (AOL: news, chart, profile) Turner Sports Interactive.
