MTV Ties With Motorola for The Biggest Mobile Content Deal

MTV has tied up with Motorola to “MTVize” the cellphone. Under the three-year, $75 million deal, Motorola will re-install MTV programming on upcoming models, including caller ring tones based on popular MTV tunes, phone-based video games, and other MTV-branded material such as music-themed screensavers. Some phone models due out in the second half of this year will feature FM radios with high-quality stereo sound.

Globally, the two companies will co-develop an MTV wireless menu to be featured on Motorola handset navigation screens.
