Solving The Problem of Micropayments


This one is about two weeks old, but important enough: I noted the launch of the new micropayments company Peppercoin. This is a more detailed explanation of why the company thinks it is different than the other players out there. The company uses probability methods and statistics to take out the costly transaction fees involved in low-vaue micropayments: “Letting consumers buy hit music recordings for a buck or less, without charging $10 a month in subscription fees, could be just the thing to ignite the micropayment market.”
