Access Develops Mobile Content Payment Solution for J2ME: Access, a Japanese company with a subsidiary in U.S., has launched a wireless payments solution for a Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME). The solution is based on its “Premium Content Subscription Server” that supports over the air provisioning for wireless content. It allows operators to charge users for J2ME application usage through several models, such as one-time download or subscription-based, while enabling revenue sharing with content providers.
The solution also includes a “content vault” where end-users can safely store
and manage content purchased from external content sources.
