JumpTV To Broadcast Online Despite Canadian Ruling: Canadian webcaster JumpTV.com brushed aside a regulatory ruling that bars it from retransmitting Canadian TV signals online. Instead, Montreal-based company will push ahead to distribute around 20 foreign TV channels to paid subscribers, mainly in the United States.

JumpTV.com subscribers, around 80 percent of which are in the U.S. market, pay up to $9.95 a month to watch each foreign signal chosen, with a range from Portugal’s RTPi and ProTV Int’l in Romania to Thailand’s TV Global and CNI in Mexico.
