ePaymentsnews Network, a Toronto-based PDF newsletter and website on the online payments market, has launched a time-based micropayments scheme for its articles online. Prior to this, its articles online were available only to the newsletter subscribers. Each article will cost US $ 0.99 cents and users will have access to it online for
an hour, “time for you to save or print for future reference.”
For this scheme, the company has tied up with German company FirstGate, which has a technology called “Click&Buy”–yes, this is the same technology BT is using in UK for its BTClick&Buy micropayments network–its was licensed from the German company.
