Content Providers to Blame for Lack of Danish Success with Micropayments

Despite the highest per capital Internet penetration, Denmark’s success with micropayments has been spotty, to say the least. Among the main inhibitors of e-commerce in Denmark are the lack of opportunity to evaluate products prior to purchasing as well as security concerns, according to this IDC report. The supply side is also to blame, as high-quality content combined with a simple reliable payment system is hard to find.
