Verizon has tied up with FoxSports.com to present visual simulations of live sports events and sports news to Internet- enabled cellphones for a monthly fee. The company is using technology developed by ActiveSky and has created multiscene presentations that integrate visual action, sound, text and low-tech graphics in a facsimile of a live sports broadcast, as well as schedules, scores and standings.
The service is available to Verizon Get It Now customers for $3.99 a month.
