Playboy Online Now has 131,000 Subscribers: The online division of Playboy has narrowed its losses to $2.9 million, a 53 percent improvement from $6.0 million in the year-ago quarter. The quarter’s revenues rose 23 percent to $7.7 million, primarily driven by gains in subscription and international revenues, according to a company statement. As of June 30, 2002, Playboy Cyber Club, the subscription-based online service, had 131,000 members, up 48 percent and 11 percent from a year earlier and March 31, 2002, respectively.
