EDGAR Online’s Subscription Revenues Up

EDGAR Online’s Subscription Revenues Up 75 Percent: EDGAR Online, the business information provider, reported revenues of $4.1 million for Q2, a decrease of 1 percent compared to the same period last year. The decline in total revenue was offset by strong growth in the company’s core subscription business–Seat-based subscription revenue increased 75 percent from last year to $1.25 million, due to an increase in the number of subscribers to over 25,000 as of June 30, 2002.

“Data sales to corporations, which include recurring customized data feeds and application programming interface (API) contracts, and seat-based subscriptions accounted for 63 percent of total revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2002 compared to 45 percent for the same period last year.”
