Hoover’s Subscription Revenues Account for 77 Percent of Its Total Revenues in Q2: Hoover’s, the operator of subscription-based business information website, has reported earnings of $338,000, compared with a loss of $7.4 million a year earlier. Revenues fell 3.7 percent to $7.8 million, from $8.1 million.

Subscription revenues increased 17 percent over the year-ago period, to $6.0 million this quarter. As a percent of revenue, subscriptions increased to 77 percent of total revenues, compared to 63 percent in the same quarter last year.

For the full year, the company expects subscription revenues for the full year to grow 20-24 percent, compared to last year. In the next quarter, subscription revenues are expected to increase approximately 18-20 percent over the same period last year.
