Consumer Reports has tied-up with NewsStand to make some of its publications available in digital versions online. Among the first products to be launched will be “Consumer Reports Travel Letter”–available for $29 a year or $3.95 for a single issue–and “Consumer Reports Guide to Baby Products” available for $4.95 in the digital format.
Skinny: This is still a nascent sector…the technology is there, the need is still to be seen. Adoption of course depends on improvement in display technologies, and portability.
