What Does “Ur an Ideyot!!!!!” Sound Like?
In a move that promises to test the limits of even the most powerful automated text-to-speech program, YouTube has implemented an audio preview feature that will say your comments back to you before you post them. Thus giving you ample opportunity to hear exactly what “OMG!!! THATZZ SO STOOPID! =)” as well as various references to genitalia and sexual orientation sound like when read aloud.
As Webmonkey pointed out, it looks like YouTube developers may have gotten their inspiration from web comic xkcd, which previously ran a strikingly similar (and hilarious) comic on the topic.

The audio preview isn’t required in order to post — though maybe that wouldn’t be such a dumb idea. It’s located at the bottom of the page where the post comment button used to be, which, as Webmonkey points out, could be a nice surprise for idiot commenters who don’t pay attention and have their speakers turned up.

In case you were wondering, “OMG!!! THATZZ SO STOOPID! =)” sounds like “Womg, that’s so stupid,” but it fails to capture the urgency the multitude of exclamation points would typically inspire. And for all you 7th graders out there — it will read swear words (tee-hee).

The problem with it is that they decided to trick the tab, spacers of us all by making it the first button before “Post Comment.”
But I figured it out quick… if you press tab TWICE, you can forgo. I’m so smart.
