I would also add a low-tech camera company to this list - the 3D Film Factory. They market "cheap", accurate, very nice 3D beam-splitters and side-by-side camera rigs. For the first time, they're making 3D productions accessible to indie filmmakers like myself. I'm saying this because I purchased several of their 3D rigs and was very happy with the results. All the other companies making rigs aren't offering much that's new (these rigs have been around since the 50's), but charging an arm and a leg.

Thanks
John Stevenson

Jose: Thanks ever so much for the coverage; it was a pleasure talking to you -- I appreciate the in-depth research you do for each article. I also realize that coverage is limited to the vagaries of word count, and want to point out that 3ality Digital's image acquisition and processing technologies extend deep into the broadcast and display side of the business, allowing the transport of 3D content through regular 2D HD pipes (without taking up more bandwidth!), and allowing the experience to be optimized for the display system that is awaiting it at the other end. We're the only supplier of end-to-end solutions for live-action digital 3D; we're not confined to providing just production, as are most of the other companies usually mentioned in the space, because we offer the only systems that capture and manipulate all the metadata necessary for great 3D imagery, right from the start. This, of course, is of great interest to broadcast and cable companies, as well as to consumer electronics manufacturers.
