if history is any indicator the studios will probably try to make a run at redbox. when they fail. they will probably lobby the government for regulations on kiosks.

Blockbuster's on the kiosk train, but given the company's history, I wouldn't hold my breath that they'll give Redbox much of a run.

What I cannot wait for is a real competitor of Red Box. Blockbuster should be it. Then just as you see Coke machines next to Pepsi machines, you'd see different DVD rental machines competing against each other. If that were to happen, today you have $1 a rental. Tomorrow, 25 cents or less!
