I think it is an interesting topic because the idea of web over saturation is premature.internet media is on a different time table than traditional media.the article raises the question of how long will it take on the web and how talent can try to avoid it? Has there been web backlash for anyone yet?

Katherine Heigl has the oppurtunity to play different characters. Whereas Albrecht probably isn't getting scripts sent to him for shows or movies. There is a stark difference between a Movie Actor and a Show Host, it's like saying Ryan Seacrest is overexposed (which he probably is) but thats his schtick; Hosting.

It certainly hasn't done someone like Leo Laporte or his cohorts any harm to be on 4 or 5 widely followed shows although it's obvious that podcasts, even hugely successful ones like TWIT are small potatoes compared to Oprah. But then a lot of TV is small potatoes compared to Oprah :)

I'm not sure why the topic of this article strikes me as funny but it some how seems a little premature.

Compared to Oprah no online personality has critical mass. There is a long way to go before an Internet celebrity can be over exposed.

Now if you're talking about a niche, say the online tech niche then maybe someone could be on too many tech shows but I think right now anyone would be lucky to be considered "over exposed."
