I'm still waiting for a breakdown that separates the watchers on laptops and PCs (proper) vs. delivered via HTPC or Roku to the "big screen" in the livingroom.

Oddly, I'm not cutting any cords. I seem to be adding them. But my combo of Slingbox, Windows Media Center, Miro (why doesn't miro get more love?) Hulu, Netflix, and SiliconDust HD Network dual tuner, and cable subscription lets me watch nearly anything I can think of, anywhere, at any time.

I dont know why people think we're still waiting for the big shift to happen. It is on.

I wonder how long it will be until cable TV providers view themselves as chiefly super-high-speed internet providers? Currently, they're stuck in their old business model that views internet service as a sideline. If anyone knows of an online article where cable TV providers are starting to change their mindset, I'd love to read that piece.
