Now that EQAL has taken the TSIY prize away from The Misfits over money, where did you get your information about this project being funded by EQAL? They have denied EVER saying the winning team would get funding.

While I agree that the Misfits will be an amazing show, I don't think it was entirely "FAN" created. It's more like, "former-employee-created." Why give fans the false hope of creating their own show only to select the pilot created by former employees of Eqal?

And people keep saying that everyone who submitted a pilot had just as fair a chance of winning as those who submitted The Misfits. I don't see how it is fair at all. The Misfits producers had access to the actors to portray popular characters, superior equipment AND the benefit of having WORKED for Eqal in the past...so once they submitted their pilot, no one else even had a remotely good chance of winning.

It defeats the purpose of the entire contest. I think for TSIY: Season 2 they should ban current or former employees from entering so that fans who are NOT affiliated with Eqal in any way, shape or form have an actual shot at winning and we can TRULY say Eqal gave the fans the show. They simply did not do that this time around.

The fans (us) are really excited about this series. Taylor and Spencer are characters that we love, but also Logan has been involved in a few fan productions as the character "Linc" and we're really just as excited to see him become part of the Lonelygirl15 canon.

Jenni & Logan have been a part of our community for a long time, and so have Max & Becki (they have their own youtube show called MaxterBexter) so it's really all around a win-win-win situation.

Thanks for covering this Liz! We're really excited about LG15: TSIY, and extend our congratulations to Logan and Jenni. The response was incredible and it's a testament to the commitment of lonelygirl15 fans, and the depth of the storytelling universe. We can't wait to see how the story unfolds.

In a lot of ways Misfits has re-energized the so called 'rabid' fan base. There hasn't been this much excitement in some time.

A few people didn't think it was fair that the winners were two former employees, but honestly, they had just as much chance of making a derivative and poorly made pilot as anyone else.

I'm excited about this and I can't wait to watch The Misfits. The characters of Taylor and Spencer have long been two of my favorites in the show, and the addition of another familiar face (Linc) takes this into epicness.
