If BG image for single shot was different to 2 shot (zoomed in and blurred in Photoshop) it would look more natural and stop the jumpy stuff and the assault on our perception !

Both shows have merits though as you say.

And let me apologize for the non-minimizable overlay ad. That’s a bug that we’re working to fix (I’ll spare you the details, but it’s an ad-size issue that’s giving us fits). Suffice to say that it used to work, and will work again that way soon.

I do find it a bit disingenuous that a page with 6 display ads and 6 house ads/promos would be criticizing us for an abundance of advertising, but c’est la vie.

However, as Serafina points out above, there’s always RSS-based consumption – which cuts out most of the in-video ads on Revision3 shows – and NewTeeVee pages too…
