- this post had nothing to do with blocking of software. case in point, we’ve blocked content and I ran into this post a year after the fact
- the reason services get blocked is because all the people flaming using these proxies services overuse the service and make said relay service an obvious proxy because the number of concurrent users is WAY above a normal use footprint.
- such blocking methods are automated in intelligent networks as antiddos/rpf mechanisms. they aren’t specific to any one proxy network.

in reality the massive use of any given product would show as a botnet attack or mirroring attempt and automatically be shutdown. reporting about it after the fact has zero impact on it being blocked.
