Nice article for Gnutella's 10th anniversary.

A few niggling questions though:

Where did you get the info that Gnutella developers came up with the ultrapeers model before Bluemoon came up with the superpeers model for FastTrack (aka KaZaA)?

Weren't Music City (the company behind Morpheus) sued related to when their client was based on FastTrack, before they migrated to Gnutella?

Is it really fair to say Bram Cohen "outsourced" search? All he did was create a data transfer system. Isn't that like saying Tim Berners-Lee "outsourced" web search to Altavista, Yahoo etc?

Sein Programmierer Justin Frankel hat übrigens auch den Winamp gebaut, mein Lieblings-Audio-Abspielprogramm (ich verwende VLC für die kniffligen Geschichten und Winamp fürs Radiohören). Gegenüber dem heute so beliebten BitTorrent-Protokoll hat Gnutella den Vorteil der Dezentralität.
