It may be just a “tin hat” passing thought , but could Microsoft (MPEG-LA patent pool member) Android/Linux related patent suits be part of
the larger picture here?

It does seem that Microsoft’s marketing department often takes a backseat to their legal department in competing in the marketplace.

One thing I really find fascinating about the VP8/HTML5/Adobe/H.264 discussion
is just how much waterboy journalism I’ve been seeing out there.
Sometimes it reminds me more of the stink I would expect in political campaigns than anything else, where half truths and dis-information is pushed
so hard as make it obvious that “news” is the least of the concerns in the
reporting.

Lest one get the wrong idea , I’m not talking about the reporting here.
